Job Title: Academic Skills Tutor (Vocational & Technical Programmes)

Job Purpose
To support learners enrolled in phlebotomy, dental, health and electrical courses in developing strong academic and study skills essential for successful course completion and workplace readiness.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver workshops in:
▸ Academic writing
▸ Assignment structure and portfolio building
▸ Reading and research techniques
▸ Professional communication
▸ Exam and practical assessment preparation

Provide one-to-one academic coaching.

Support students with English, literacy and report-writing relevant to healthcare & technical settings.

Work with teaching staff to embed academic skills into vocational units.

Create accessible study resources tailored to practical courses.

Track learner engagement and progress.

Required Qualifications
Strong background in English, Education or Study Skills teaching.

Experience tutoring diverse learners including adult students.

Desirable
Experience within a vocational or technical college setting.
